pleasegivemeajob.com is very different from other job sites. Most job sites focus on jobs. We also list jobs, but our main focus is YOU. We are primarily a candidate web site. We allow candidates to register and we enable prospective employers and recruitment agencies to view your profile immediately - they don't have to register with us to view your profile. If an employer likes your profile, they can call you directly (if you have provided a contact number), or they can send you an email. We do not charge employers for profile views. Most jobs web sites charge employers and recruitment agencies for CV/Resume views. We don't do that! We want you to get employed as quickly as possible, so we allow employers to contact you directly.
Ideally employers will look here for a suitable candidate before they consider advertising a job online or in the press. This will save employers money and make it easier for them to find suitable employees.
Inspiration
The idea for this web site came about after I observed a number of very brave and hard working ladies and gentlemen who, in order to procure employment, had created boards with 'Please Give Me A Job' written on them, and then had gone out to stand in the cold and wet with these boards to get noticed! These people were desperate for a job. It occured to me that if I was in a position to offer these people a job, I would have! I was so impressed by their courage, tenacity and perseverance that I decided I wanted to do something to help these people and other people in the same position - that is - people who are desperate to work! People who have skills, who want to work but are just finding it hard to find the right job, or indeed any job, in todays market.
I wanted to create an online hub where job seekers who are trying really hard to find work were aggregated. So they could create their individual 'Please Give Me a Job' boards if the wanted to, but now they also have a ready made online presence. As soon as they register, their profile will be made live and viewable to thousands of employers nationwide and internationally.
This is how pleasegivemeajob.com was born.
